UI Clock and maybe a Damage Log?
Hi all. Bought the game a month ago and have been having a blast. LvL 18 R/Me atm. I found these forums about two weeks ago and i finally decided to register. Just wanted to say first off that you guys at Guru are great for maintaining these forums. I haven't found a better or more helpful source of GW info on the entire internet. Yes, the whole thing. GW Wiki is helpful as well though
Now on to my question. Title pretty much says it. I'm perfectly happy with the default GW UI layout, but coming from WoW I am used to a large degree of custimization. Is there any way to incorporate a moveable/scaleable clock-timer feature on my UI? And I would also be curious about some type of on-screen parser that would log my damage and maybe show what enchantments/disenchantments i have on me. I get a little peeved when i enter a new area and get some new type of disenchantment thrown on me, but it only lasts ~5 seconds and i dont really have the time to read the description if im in the middle of a busy fight. I won't be terribly dissapointed if neither are available because the game is fine just the way it is. But i think both of the above would be pretty handy. Thanks all. |

The challenge is that you learn these enchantments by picture alone. If you hold Ctrl and click fast on the spell, a log will be made in your chat window, in the form of "I have Empathy on me!".
That way you can check was was sent to you, and maybe a monk will disspell it for you. Not very helpful, but better than nothing. |

The kind of log you're looking for can't be done, I'm afraid.
If you google around and maybe look on SourceForge.net, you might find a directx compatible overlay clock, and just whip up a quick batch file to run it with guildwars. |

Guild Wars/Arenanet is very mod-unfriendly. I'm not entirely sure why, but there you go.

Sadly, no clock... though they did just add the "you have been playing for XXXX" update.
And I've urged to gulidies many times how I wish there were an option to count total damage done, or # kills (if we got /deaths, why not /kills for # of monsters killed by parties you're a member of?). Anyway, as said above, you'll get to recognize the skills pretty fast. Also, you can hit print screen, so you can get a screenie to check later.... works really well with the skills pages here that have the icons next to most skills. |
